2 bags of pretzel rods

1 stick of butter

3 Tbls whiskey

1 heaping Tbls brown sugar

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

  1. Melt butter add the rest of the ingredients.  Mix well to combine
  2. Lay the rods out on a jelly roll pan and drizzle with the butter spice mixture.  Roll the rods to coat evenly.
  3. Bake at 250 for 20 minutes.  At 10 minutes reroll the rods in the butter spice mixture and then cook the last 10 minutes.

Note:  This recipe can be totally adjusted to your specific tastes.  If you like sweet add more sugar, if you like hot add more cayenne, sub in a smoked paprika for a Smokey taste.  I like to add a 1/2x more of all the ingredients and have a heavier coating on the rods.  Store in a plastic bag.  They go fast so plan accordingly.
