Three Charming Venues, One Afternoon.
It’s that time of year for warm sunny days with cool breezes. When the grapes are starting to ripen, the bees are humming and the trees are thinking about the fall dance, where the colors are spectacular and the blue sky back drops leave you speechless. Spending some time at a winery with friends or family can be an awesome way to unwind and reconnect. I recently did just that in an area around and near Arcadia, WI. Each stop was delightful and a build up to the final.
Our first stop, Elmaro’s. A beautiful family run winery with a large outdoor patio just off the vineyard. Tables scattered throughout for groups large and small. They have a menu with some typical wine favorites, cheeses, dips, smoked pistachios and more, with wine by the bottle, glass or flight. Views that did not disappoint. A must stop.
Next we traveled some back country roads and wound are way through the hills and valley’s to Tenba Ridge. This venue is on top of a bluff and you can see for miles. They also offer limited food and encourage you to bring in your own snacks. They feature some locally brewed beer on tap that was a must for me to try. Another out of the way relaxing winery.
Our final stop was Vino Over the Valley. After winding our way through more valley’s and hills we arrived. The venue is open sided with a nice selection of wine and beverage. An Italian themed They had live entertainment and a full menu for dining. Once again the views did not disappoint as we could see for miles out over the beautiful terrain.
Elmaro
Just outside of Trempealeau, WI nestled into the hillside, facing the Mississippi River Valley lies a charming winery. A family run winery whose label is inspired by the 300 year old white pine tree on the grounds.
Tenba Ridge
This winery is located five miles south of Blair Wisconsin. The terrace and deck overlook thousands of acres of woods. The winery is situated at the top of the bluff in an old farm site that was converted into the winery in 2004.
Vino Over the Valley
Located on a bluff outside of Arcadia Wi, this unique experience is a must stop. Established in 2017 it is quickly becoming a must stop, when you’re in the area.
